I haven't tried deleting it yet because I know FO4 uses those "Form Lists" like Skyrim did and was told deleting the vanilla items would cause issues in game. I'd just like to open the floor up to any discussions on modding Fallout 4 here so hopefully I can learn some tips!įor the last month I've been trying to make a mod for the Sanctuary Settlement in my spare time. They've done essentially the perfect job to please everyone, yet people still bitch.Edit: I merged this into the existing Creation Kit topic. On top of that, Bethesda games are miles beyond pretty much any game when it comes to modding capabilities, so all you have to do is either wait for mods to fix literally everything you want fixed, or go fix it yourself. Of those 5% who deeply care about the in-depth RPG aspects, most of them are STILL playing 100, 200, 500 hours of Fallout 4 even while moaning loudly how much Bethesda sucks. They changed it because that's what probably 95% of people want. They aren't a charity, and they aren't just some group of people who have real other jobs but make Fallout 4 as a passion project in their off hours. I personally agree that it's frustrating some of the more in-depth RPG aspects were taken out, but it's not something to be mad at Bethesda about. and there's not actually anything wrong with that. You do understand they are a business, right? Their sole purpose is to make money. Though on a side note I think EA is moving in the right direction here recently, I guess it snaps you back to reality when you start getting named the worst company in America. I mean compared to companies like EA and Ubisoft who's games are many times released with game breaking bugs at launch that often make them unplayable or Activision who still believes a decade old game is worth $60 I'd have to say Bethesda is pretty great. They are more than fair with the pricing of their content and usually quick to offer discount during sales. They provide a quality game that usually doesn't include any game breaking bugs at launch. They seem to honestly care about their community and listen to what they want. The only example I can really think of is paid mods and that was shut down rather quickly. I can't think of may instances, if any, where they have done something to anger of mislead their customers that wasn't dealt with rather quickly. In my opinion they are miles above most other publishers out there. I'm curious why in your opinion Bethesda isn't that great.
