An alternative path the German Reich now can take is to be the protector against communism, giving the "Befriend" nations focus points a bit of more use and purpose as a viable mechanic even when they don't turn fascist before you start fighting the allies. The AI is also designed to use the rarer focus points such as the "Ally USSR" which is renamed to "Unholy Alliance" in this modification.
It's designed to be fun to play as while still allowing the players to feel familiar with the old focus tree. Great care has been taken to make the AI be more historical with its approach when Historical AI is turned on and play more intelligently when Historical AI is off. The nationalistic goals presented in this tree isn't completely synonymous with those of the nazi party but of the German nationalistic movement that predates the nazi party and it's quest to unite the people of Germany. Historical AccuracyThis mod has elements of both alternative history and historical accuracy! Many focus points that are added was things that Germany did during this time and the focus tree tells a story about Germany's return to the world stage during this era. All I ask is that you mention here that you're using my mod as a base so people who look for updates for this can find your newer version and play it. Not that I could really stop you if I didn't want people to do that but you still have my blessing to do so. People are free to take the source code for this and implement Paradox's new changes or build on my mod if they wish, as well as reupload it and redistribute it as they wish. I also think that maybe this mod went a bit overboard with what you're able to do as the Reich (like manipulating the scandinavian countries as described in the mod in particular is basically WW2 fantasy). The main reason why I'm abandoning the project is because I simply feel that there's not much more I can add to the mod other than implement some changes Paradox did, and I don't want to mod just for the sake of supporting Paradox. If you're afraid of losing the alternative history expansion of Way of the Tiger, fear not because I included it into the mod. It doesn't really need to anyhow because HoI4 has pretty good backwards compability and old mods can still often work with the newer game. It's abandoned now and it will not be updated to the latest version. AnnouncementNothing lasts forever and that is the case for support for this mod.
